First and foremost, my personal pursuit is to live a Christ centered life.  I am married, father to 4 kids, and father of little Isaiah who is in Heaven already. I love exploring, nature, building things, designing complex systems and learning new things. For some reason, being self sufficient has always been in my mind before it was even a term I'd heard. I have a B.S. in Economics and have been a small business owner for the last 22 years, first in insurance and for the past 10 years in construction.​ Even since I was a teenager I've wanted to build a cabin in the woods and grow my own food without hormones and artificial preservatives. The direction our society has gone, has revealed that desire in a lot of other people as well. Building a homestead and enabling others to fulfill this wish would be a dream come true for me.
